Our Head Office
The MW-AG head office is located in the historic Försterkellerei, the “Förster Wine Cellars”, in Gilbertstraße 34, in Trier, so named after Johann Förster who was one of the wine suppliers to the court of the German Emperor Wilhelm II. The property has been owned by Saar-Mosel-Winzersekt GmbH since 1984, which has carefully retained the historical character of the building which is under a preservation order, and is equipped for all modern requirements.

The reinforced two storied concrete construction was completed in 1905 and formed around a 1800 square metre cellar design. Above the cellar extends a “three-vessel” hall consisting of a large “middle ship” and two narrower ones. The unusual façade of the entrance stands out from the more usual row of houses. Two pylon-like towers strut visually above the arched roof of the middle “ship”, and the lower “side-ships” with their split mansard roofs are slightly set back from it. Rich Jugendstil ornamentation adorns the curved main entrance to the centre “ship”.
